‘Spotlight for a Night’
Spotlight for a Night was a trivia night held to raise funds for Alpha Autism and the Trish MS Research Foundation (organised as a group project through La Trobe University’s Infinity Leadership Program). As a member of the organising committee, I had the opportunity to demonstrate both my passion for supporting other people with disabilities and my graphic design skills.
The poster (pictured above) provided me with a challenge to ensure a variety of information could communicate successfully. This was achieved through the use of differing treatments of text (whilst also ensuring consistency through the use of a text font for body copy). Sponsors logos were also arranged in a grid-like format at the bottom of the poster.
Additionally, illustration is a key feature of the designs. The illustrative elements were handrawn and scanned then coloured in Adobe Illustrator.
A consistent brand was also utilised across the entire range of material for Spotlight for a Night, as you can see from the following examples:
