Rosalind Park at Dusk

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The photos here are taken from the lookout tower at Rosalind Park (on the edge of Bendigo’s City Centre) at dusk. Being here this time of day was a beautiful experience, along with having the opportunity to see Bendigo in a different light and perspective to what I usually do.

The lookout tower (a poppet head) is very similar to that at One Tree Hill. I enjoyed taking some close up images of the detail there also.  It is fascinating, however, to share the contrast between the bush setting of One Tree Hill and the more formal layout of Rosalind Park (and the fact it is surrounded by Bendigo’s Central Business District).

Many of the photos include the Cathedral lit up at night, aerial views of the park and a lookout over the city centre. In the distance of the photos overlooking the city centre, you can see One Tree Hill (it is the highest point in the distant landscape).

Enjoy!

The lookout tower is a perfect place to take photos from.
    The Catherdral looks so impressive.
I particularly liked the photo of the park when it was lit up.

    • It’s certainly lovely to be up the tower.

I have discovered that timing is vital for some shots. It contributes to the success of some of my photos.
