Showcasing Daniel Giles' work

Harrietville

Harrietville, located in the Ovens Valley at the base of Mount Hotham and Mount Feathertop (in North-East Victoria) is a beautiful place to relax and soak up the scenery. The greenery and river valleys in this location, along with the high mountains contrasts greatly with the stark beauty of the Bendigo region.

Photos of the Ovens River (more of a stream than a river here) along with a couple of hill scenes are included. Another major highlight was photographing a petrol pump outside the general store. My intention is to capture the essence of getting away from suburbia and retreating to a quiet little village.

What a pretty place. You can feel the peace just by looking at the photos.

Great material for a promotional brochure.

    • It’s one of my favourite places I’d like to travel to.

My favourite photo was of the river with the ferns beside it.

Thanks for your compliment about it being great material for a promotional brochure.

    • There’s such character in these items that you don’t see in modern infrastructure!
