Showcasing Daniel Giles' work

Pioneer Settlement

The Pioneer Settlement is an open-air museum in Swan Hill. Its purpose is to showcase the history of early settlement into North-West Victoria.

It includes a fully operational main street, with a variety of stores run by volunteers in period costume, selling goods that would’ve been sold in the days of early settlement. There are also some old homesteads open for display, some vintage cars, a horse-drawn carriage, a blacksmith and an agricultural display. In addition, there is also a paddle-steamer cruise along the Murray River.
